As the first and oldest active pole vault club in Georgia, Pole Vault Atlanta was founded by Coach Hal Fairbanks in 2006.  Pole Vault Atlanta is a nationally competitive club that offers instruction at all levels!

Founded & owned by educators who have taught & coached at schools all over the metro-Atlanta area for 20+ years, we take pride in our approach to coaching!

PV-ATL has emphasized the fundamentals of the Petrov/Bubka Model of pole vaulting. Sergei Bubka was the first man over 20′.  Bubka broke the world record 35 times under Petrov's tutelage along with Yelena Isabayeva who is the current women's world & Olympic record holder. Vitally Petrov developed the technical model that has been successful at the international level for more than a dozen athletes from all over the world.

We believe the Petrov model is the best technical model out ther.  We teach this model to all of our athletes. We take the Petrov model and keep it simple & safe to make sure anyone can learn our technical model if they put in the time.

Our program is developed for all levels of ability, and we specialize in helping beginners learn the sport so they can continue through our program & beyond! Come and learn with us!

Pole Vault Atlanta has travelled all over the nation taking athletes to national championships in California, Kansas, Texas, New York, Massachusetts, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina.
